IS 5568 · AA

Accessibility Statement.

The Alex Bashlaev studio regards web accessibility as a core value, and works to make the browsing experience usable for everyone, including people with disabilities, in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568 at conformance level AA and with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013.

Scope of the adjustments

The site is built on standards-compliant semantic structure (HTML5 landmarks), a consistent heading hierarchy, high contrast ratios, visible focus states on every interactive element, and full keyboard navigation. The embedded cinematic video player opens in an accessible dialog (role="dialog") with focus trapping and Escape-to-close.

Direction and language (RTL/LTR)

The site is published in two language editions: English at alexbashlaev.com, loaded left-to-right, and Hebrew at alexbashlaev.co.il, loaded right-to-left with dedicated Hebrew typefaces swapped in automatically. Each edition sets the document's dir and lang attributes accordingly, so assistive technology announces the correct language from the first render.

Floating accessibility toolbar

In addition to the structural adjustments in the site itself, a third-party accessibility toolbar (UserWay) is embedded and lazy-loaded so it never slows the page down. The toolbar lets you enlarge fonts, boost contrast, highlight links, slow animations, and stop flashing content.

Known exceptions

Some of the cinematic works on the site are video pieces created for the studio's clients and do not include built-in transcripts. You can write to the email address below to receive a textual summary of any specific work.

Physical accessibility

The studio operates fully digitally and by phone, and does not receive visitors in person. All of the studio's services - submitting an inquiry, scoping a project, and viewing the portfolio - are available in full through this website.
